What To Do In Sheffield Over Half Term

Matt Crisp January 29, 2018

The spring half term break is fast approaching and no doubt parents, children and teachers alike simply can’t wait to have a bit of well-earned rest! If this sounds like a familiar story and you’re wondering what to get up to, what about booking coach hire to Sheffield and back for one or all of these family-friendly events? Enjoy!

Magna Mayhem

What better way to tire the kids out than by taking them to Magna Science Adventure Centre for Magna Mayhem, the biggest indoor inflatable adventure zone in Yorkshire? It’s on between February 16th and 21st, and there are also two under-fives Mini Mayhems taking place on the 17th and 18th as well.

Dinosaurs At Tropical Butterfly House

For another fun day out, make your way to the Tropical Butterfly House where you and your little ones can watch the extinct come back to life over the half term break. The dinosaur exhibit features a dinosaur trail, crafts and games, themed food, a full day of animal encounters – and you can even enter a fancy dress competition. Fun for all the family!

Teddy Bear Hospital 2018 at Museums Sheffield: Weston Park

Student doctors from the university are holding a drop-in session for children and their mums and dads, where favourite teddies can be taken for a one-on-one consultation with a teddy bear doctor. Children can learn how to call 999, get their toys bandaged up, use stethoscopes and look at X-rays.
