September Is The Second Most Popular Holiday Month!

Matt Crisp September 24, 2018

There’s nothing quite like sorting out minibus hire, chucking all your stuff in the back and heading off to the airport for a lovely little holiday away. But when should you go? Obviously, a lot of us love nothing more than going on a summer trip, but destinations can be incredibly busy as a result… so when else should you consider heading off to climes unknown?

New research from Sainsbury’s Bank has just revealed that September is in fact the second most popular month for holidays, with many choosing to head off at this time of year because it’s quieter, cheaper, the best season for the place they’re going to and because their friends and family are available for travelling as well. Others said they chose September because it was easier to get time off work.

Beach holidays came top as the best option for a trip away at the beginning of autumn, which got us here at A Class Corporate Travel to thinking – just where is best around the world for a September trip to the beach? Here are a few ideas that might float your proverbial boat.

Rhodes

The Greek island of Rhodes is a great choice for a trip right now, with average temperatures of 25 degrees C over the month. Check out the Greeka website for top tips on which beaches are best – there are 42 to choose from so you really are going to struggle deciding where to go first.

Algarve

Or you could pop off to the south of Portugal and see what Algarve has to offer. One of the best beaches – and rarely chockful of tourists – is Praia de Albandeira. It’s quite small and very tucked away, so the perfect place to go for a bit of respite from the rest of the world. Don’t expect much in the way of entertainment here, so make sure you bring your book!

Majorca

You can find out all about the top 20 beaches in Majorca on the ABC Mallorca website, which will make for very fun reading indeed. Apparently, there are an incredible 262 beaches to be found in Mallorca, so good luck deciding on where to go.

Dubai

If you want to travel further afield and really want to get some late summer sun, you’ve got to put Dubai at the top of the list. Temperatures often reach 40 degrees C here, but you don’t need to panic if this is a little on the hot side since there are all sorts of beaches and water parks here. You’ve got to go to the manmade Palm Islands, where you’ll find Aquaventure – fun for all the family.

Egypt

This country does cool down a little in September but you’ll still find it warm, warm, warm – far warmer than the UK right now! Private beaches can be found in Na’ama Bay, as well as spas, diving schools and lots of tasty food and drink. Enjoy!
