What’s On In Leeds This Christmas

Matt Crisp December 11, 2018

There are only a few weeks left until December 25th and while this can be quite a stressful time of year, with lots to sort out and arrange before the big day arrives, it can also be a very magical one as well – with all sorts of fun events going on to keep you all well entertained.

If you want to check out what’s going on in the north-west, you might want to think about booking coach hire in Leeds to see what the city has to offer. Here are some of our top picks for days out in Leeds this Christmas. Enjoy!

The German Christmas Market

This is a fun day out for all the family and there’s something for everyone to enjoy, from traditional wooden stalls selling brilliant gifts, festive greenery, a Christmas carousel ride, toys, decorations, German food and drink, and family entertainment. It’s on until December 22nd so you still have plenty of time to get down there and check it all out.

Thor’s Tipi

Start the festive period off brilliantly by snuggling up around a roaring log fire clasping a mug of delicious mulled wine at Thor’s Tipi in the city. This pop-up bar also features hot chocolate, warm cider, fine ales and lots of Christmas cheer… what on earth could be better?

The Leeds Christmas Trail

If you want to get a bit of exercise while really getting into the festive spirit and getting to know the city of Leeds well, follow the Christmas Trail. You’ll have lots of fun spotting all sorts of festive delights and probably doing a spot of shopping along the way.

Christmas at Harewood House

Between now and January 6th, you can pop off to Harewood House to have a peek at its Christmas dreamscape, with festive experiences, demonstrations, music, events and – of course – a visit from Father Christmas himself.

The Christmas Adventure at Stockeld Park

There’s an awful lot going on here over the next few weeks so you could go again and again, and never be bored. Check out the illuminations in the enchanted forest or have a skate about on the outdoor covered ice rink (perfect since if it rains, your fun won’t be hampered). There’s Santa’s Grotto, a Christmas shop, a panto, an illuminated maze and an awful lot more to keep you all well entertained.

Christmas at Temple Newsam at Temple Newsam House and Farm

If you have a spare weekend this month, make your way to Newsam House and Farm, which has had a lovely festive makeover. The Tea Rooms have a Christmas-inspired menu, there are Christmas crafts on offer, live performances of dancers, musicians and carollers, and a whole host of other activities that will certainly get you into the festive spirit.
